A friend found the pet, but she couldn’t keep the animal so she called the police to tell them that there was an abandoned dog on the street, but the police didn’t arrive, she called my brother and asked him to shelter her. We have taken care of the dog since our friend gave us the dog, but we can’t keep the dog because we don’t know if anyone else is looking for it.

The dog has small scratches on his ear, he has a stain on his mouth, he has a scratch on his head, and since we found him he has diarrhea

Female dogs found 25th and Allison. No microchip or tags. They are currently being held at the Speedway Street Department. The Street Department is located at 1390 N. Lynhurst Dr. Bring proof of ownership and a leash to Speedway Street Department to claim your dogs.

If no owner comes forward, foster will be needed by Tuesday. Apply to foster at www.speedwayanimalrescue.org/foster-application

The Street Dept. is open M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm and can be reached by calling 317-246-4141, ask for Rob or Jared.

For clarification, Speedway Animal Rescue and the town of Speedway are 2 entirely separate entities.
The dog will be held by the Town of Speedway for the required Marion County 4-day stray hold. If the dog is not claimed, SAR will pull only IF an approved foster can be found. If no foster steps up then the Town of Speedway will relinquish the dog to IACS since Speedway is in Marion County and does not hold onto animals beyond their 4-day stray hold
