Male dog picked up Sunday on 15th St in Speedway. He is microchipped, but the Speedway Street Department has been unable to make contact with the owner.

The animal is currently being held at the Speedway Street Department. The Street Department is located at 1390 N. Lynhurst Dr. Bring proof of ownership and a carrier (cat) or leash (dog) to Speedway Street Department to claim your pet.

The Street Dept. is open M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm and can be reached by calling 317-246-4141, ask for Rob or Jared.

For clarification, Speedway Animal Rescue and the town of Speedway are 2 entirely separate entities.
The animal will be held by the Town of Speedway for the required Marion County 4-day stray hold. If the animal is not claimed, SAR will pull only IF an approved foster can be found. If no foster steps up then the Town of Speedway will relinquish the animal to IACS since Speedway is in Marion County and does not hold onto animals beyond their 4-day stray hold.

2 beagles seen running together behind the vet clinic & houses on 135 & 144, next door to La Herradura. One is tri colored, the other is black & tan. Couldn’t get a picture before they took off. May be heading for the fields towards 2 cent road, or across 135 to those fields. Noses are to the ground and moving fast.
