This poor dog was left at Walgreens on 10th and Post after a female brought the dog in with her to shop. She proceeded to let the dog run through the store which distracted the employees then she left with the merchandise. Not sure if she owned this dog or not. Dog has a collar on with an electric shock when the dog leaves the yard.

Female dog found at 10th and Winton. She is microchipped to IACS, and we are trying to contact them to get more info on her.

She is currently being held at the Speedway Street Department. The Street Department is located at 1390 N. Lynhurst Dr. Bring proof of ownership and a leash to Speedway Street Department to claim your dog.
The Street Dept. is open M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm and can be reached by calling 317-246-4141, ask for Rob or Jared.
For clarification, Speedway Animal Rescue and the town of Speedway are 2 entirely separate entities.
The dog will be held by the Town of Speedway for the required Marion County 4-day stray hold. If the dog is not claimed, SAR will pull only IF an approved foster can be found. If no foster steps up then the Town of Speedway will relinquish the dog to IACS since Speedway is in Marion County and does not hold onto animals beyond their ordinanced 4-day stray hold.
