HAVE YOU SEEN MY TURTLE? My missing Russian tortoise was spotted near 52nd St & Ralston Ave by multiple people this morning – Thursday, August 9th. He was seen around 9AM on the southwest corner of the intersection, and at 11:30AM he was seen crossing 52nd St between Ralston & Primrose (by a kind person who stopped to pick him up and place him in a nearby yard.)

Hiero went missing from his outdoor habitat on June 28th. He is a Russian tortoise, approximately the size of a large cheeseburger (about 6 inches in diameter), and emerges from hiding to eat dandelions/clover/collards/dark,wide-leafed greens. Hiero often burrows himself in mulch, dry leaves, or soft dirt when it gets hot out and at night. He tends to travel along sides of buildings and fences, going out in the open to eat or travel longer distances to a new hiding spot.
