Male dog picked up at 4850 west 22nd street on Saturday. He has no collar and his microchip status is currently unknown due to fear-based behaviors.

The animal is currently being held at the Speedway Street Department. The Street Department is located at 1390 N. Lynhurst Dr. Bring proof of ownership and a carrier (cat) or leash (dog) to Speedway Street Department to claim your pet.

The Street Dept. is open M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm and can be reached by calling 317-246-4141, ask for Rob or Jared.

For clarification, Speedway Animal Rescue and the town of Speedway are 2 entirely separate entities.
The animal will be held by the Town of Speedway for the required Marion County 4-day stray hold. If the animal is not claimed, SAR will pull only IF an approved foster can be found. If no foster steps up then the Town of Speedway will relinquish the animal to IACS since Speedway is in Marion County and does not hold onto animals beyond their 4-day stray hold.

Found in the Lebanon area near the Post Office this morning. (4/26/2025) around 8:45AM. Looks to be a Keeshound or mix of some sort. Friendly and well taken care of. Coat has been up kept with no matting. Checked for a microchip and none found.

I just saw a small terrier looking dog almost run into the street at Westfield and Norriston Rd which is right across from Westfield & 99th Street. Is woodsy by there and by the time I got pulled over and got my leash I couldn’t find it again. I didn’t get a good look at any details of the dog as I was trying to get my flashers on and to block the road so he didn’t run out.

But he was a tan terrier with a scruffy looking face, not more than 15 lbs.
