Shih Tzu dog small white very dirty. Looks to have been wondering for a while. Very matted all over and does not like men. Does not like loud noises. Very friendly with other dogs. Is not house trained. He like to do a begging stance when given food or treats. Very playful with kids might be around a year old or a bit younger. He seem to have recognized my car (Nissan Kicks) and wouldn’t come out from under it. He likes cars rides.

Male dog picked up at 15th and Auburn with a Great Pyrenees. No microchip or tags.

If no owner comes forward, foster will be needed by Monday. Apply to foster at www.speedwayanimalrescue.org/foster-application

He is currently being held at the Speedway Street Department. The Street Department is located at 1390 N. Lynhurst Dr. Bring proof of ownership and a leash to Speedway Street Department to claim your dog.
The Street Dept. is open M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm and can be reached by calling 317-246-4141, ask for Rob or Jared.

For clarification, Speedway Animal Rescue and the town of Speedway are 2 entirely separate entities.
The dog will be held by the Town of Speedway for the required Marion County 4-day stray hold. If the dog is not claimed, SAR will pull only IF an approved foster can be found. If no foster steps up then the Town of Speedway will relinquish the dog to IACS since Speedway is in Marion County and does not hold onto animals beyond their 4-day stray hold.

This dog was found near 38th street and German Church road by someone else. She was seen with another dog who was not able to be captured. In our search for our own missing dog we went to see her and decided to foster this dog as the person who found her could not keep her. We will be going to check for a chip later today (Thurs 9/19). She’s very sweet and quiet.
