Hello, I’m Officer Arnaldo Collazo with the Pittsboro Police Department. We have had multiple Police runs at 3000 East Commerce Way in Pittsboro regarding two female dogs. They are brown in color. They were dumped sometime after 6 PM on Sunday, and they have stayed there ever since. Hendrick County animal control came out on Monday and Tuesday morning, and they were unsuccessful in containing the two dogs. They were afraid that they would run onto the highway, so they ceased any attempts to contain the dogs. I am worried that they will get hit by a car, and I have exhausted all available resources. Marion County animal services referred me to you guys. We believe there are puppies in the woods because their dogs stay put in the area and do not leave. They are unfriendly and terrified of humans. We have opened an investigation to identify who dumped the dogs, but so far we have not found any leads or witnesses. My phone number is 317-709-7970.
