Mostly black dog with white chest and white front paws (could not see back legs/tail/other markings)

Short black, white, and tan unfixed male, looked almost like a husky crossed with a corgi wearing a gray collar with no tags running around on Northland Rd in the Saddlebrook neighborhood on the west side of Indy. He was very friendly with my small dog but I couldn’t get close enough to hook a leash onto his collar. We saw him jump in and out of a hole in the fence of the house at 5981 Northland Rd, I rang the doorbell but nobody came to the door. He followed us on our walk until we turned onto Surrey and he kept heading east on 61st street.
