Izzy is our beloved 8.5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who has been missing since May 28, 2026. She is a tiny, full-grown Yorkie weighing only about 5 pounds. Izzy has golden-blonde and tan hair on her face, ears, and legs, with longer hair around those areas than on the rest of her body. Her back and tummy are blue-gray in color. One of her most recognizable features is her long tongue, which sometimes hangs out even when she is relaxed or sleeping. When she went missing, her blonde bangs had grown out and were hanging in front of her eyes because she kept rubbing out her bow.
Izzy is a sweet, timid little dog who is not known to run off. On the day she disappeared, she was simply going outside to potty when our neighbor opened the gate to mow the lawn. Somehow, she vanished, and we have been searching for her ever since.
She has a condition affecting her back right leg that occasionally causes it to slip out of its socket. This is not a new injury—she has had this condition since she was a puppy. She was healthy and doing well when she went missing, but anyone caring for her should be aware of it. She also has medications waiting for her at home.
Izzy is much more than a pet to us. She has been my constant companion and service dog for the past eight years. As a United States Air Force veteran living with PTSD, I rely on her every day, and her absence has left a tremendous void in our lives. We miss her beyond words and are heartbroken not knowing where she is or if she is safe.
If someone has found Izzy and taken her in, believing she was lost or unwanted, please know that she is deeply loved and desperately missed. We simply want her home where she belongs.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for Izzy’s safe return. No questions asked. Please contact us immediately with any information, sightings, or if you believe you may have found her.
Thank you for taking the time to read Izzy’s story and for helping us bring our little girl home.
