🧡 Mango has already lived a lifetime’s worth of stories.
And now… he’s missing.
Just two months ago, Mango was found wandering near a Bojangles drive-thru in Charlotte, NC. No microchip, no collar, no one looking for him. Just a quiet, gentle soul doing his best to survive in a world that hadn’t been kind.
His foster mom used to visit that drive-thru every day to feed an old community cat. But one afternoon, the old cat didn’t come. In his place, a young orange tabby walked out from the shadows. Mango.
He wasn’t the cat she was looking for, but somehow, he was exactly the one meant for her.
Mango leaned into her hand when she reached out. He ate the food she offered and let her pet him. After a few days, he was rescued, and he brought his whole heart with him.
In foster care, Mango bloomed. He was sweet and affectionate, with the softest meows and the gentlest eyes. He liked to curl beside you and place one paw on your arm, just to let you know he was near. Loving him was effortless.
Two weeks ago, Mango made the long journey to his forever home in Bloomington, Indiana. His new mom was ready to give him everything he’d never had: stability, safety, a family. He settled in beautifully, made fast friends with his new cat siblings, learned the rhythms of his new home, and brought joy into every room he touched.
And then, a few days ago… he slipped out.
He’s now missing in the area around West 4th St, South Madison St and South Rogers St. in Bloomington, IN.
Mango is wearing a breakaway collar with a tag that says “Foster Pet,” along with contact information. He is microchipped. He’s about a year old and neutered. He is likely scared and hiding — please check under porches, around sheds, garages, and bushes.
