Cat picked up from Speedway Dr and Eisenhower last night. No microchip. Sex is unknown at this time.

The animal is currently being held at the Speedway Street Department. The Street Department is located at 1390 N. Lynhurst Dr. Bring proof of ownership and a carrier (cat) or leash (dog) to Speedway Street Department to claim your pet.

The Street Dept. is open M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm and can be reached by calling 317-246-4141, ask for Rob or Jared.

For clarification, Speedway Animal Rescue and the town of Speedway are 2 entirely separate entities.
The animal will be held by the Town of Speedway for the required Marion County 4-day stray hold. If the animal is not claimed, SAR will pull only IF an approved foster can be found. If no foster steps up then the Town of Speedway will relinquish the animal to IACS since Speedway is in Marion County and does not hold onto animals beyond their 4-day stray hold.

Wednesday evening my son was taking out trash and heard something moving in a closed box, not having a clue what it was he brought it up on the porch and I opened it and it was a cat. Now some might think maybe he accidentally got in the box (which is normal) no the box was taped up. We have no clue whose cat this was.
I cannot keep the cat as to I have two dogs and the poor thing looks to have longish hair which my daughter is allergic to. Now we have kept him inside in one of our bathrooms but I would like to find him a home. He’s been scanned for microchip and does not have one. Shelters can’t take him because they’re too full, I was told to release him outside he will adapt to outdoors but it’s too cold for any animals to be left out there.
I’m in hopes someone is looking for a cat. He is very sweet but like I said my dogs aren’t getting along with him and my daughter is allergic

Young sweet calico found in the Broad Ripple area on 61st St. She is very sweet, has claws but doesn’t use them, likes to be held and pet. She is likely pregnant from what I can tell, but I haven’t been able to take her to a vet check. Young, I wouldn’t put her much past a year old. I don’t know if she’s litterbox trained yet.
