He seems to be older, maybe 6 or 7. I could be wrong. He had a raspy meow. He has what looks to be old scratches on his nose, as well as his front left paw is a little scratched which is bothering him. He may have a weird bump in his stomach, I’m really not sure but I think it’s worth getting it looked at. I just don’t have the funds to take him.
He’s super sweet and cuddly, although he has boundaries. He is fully intact as well. I will require that you show me proof of ownership. I will require photos as well as vet records, and would prefer you come to meet him in person to make sure, instead of bringing him to another person whom he may not know, as he’s been passed around 3 homes now. I hope to find the owners wherever they are!

I live on Prospect Street by Westend Dental and Yaso Jamaican in Fountain Square. I found a deceased cat this morning by my car and am trying to reunite them with their family. I’m planning to take them to get scanned for a microchip today.

They’re a larger stripey brown tabby. Either female or neutered.

Cat of unknown sex found in Speedway over the weekend, exact location unknown. No microchip or tags.

Foster will be needed by Friday if no owner steps forward. Apply to foster at www.speedwayanimalrescue.org/foster-application

They are currently being held at the Speedway Street Department. The Street Department is located at 1390 N. Lynhurst Dr. Bring proof of ownership and a leash to Speedway Street Department to claim your cat.

The Street Dept. is open M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm and can be reached by calling 317-246-4141, ask for Rob or Jared.

For clarification, Speedway Animal Rescue and the town of Speedway are 2 entirely separate entities.
The cat will be held by the Town of Speedway for the required Marion County 4-day stray hold. If the cat is not claimed, SAR will pull only IF an approved foster can be found. If no foster steps up then the Town of Speedway will relinquish the cat to IACS since Speedway is in Marion County and does not hold onto animals beyond their 4-day stray hold.
